About Me
Dave the IT Guy is a Software Engineer from the south-west of England. He has his CCNA, CITE, ECDL, and holds an FdSc from Bournemouth University in Computing and Internet Technologies.
He has been working in the IT industry for around 20 years. He has created secure networking systems for defence contractors, EPoS systems for small store chains, and IT systems for both domestic and commercial use, the largest of which was an inventory collection system for use within the property market which involved an Android application, and fully scaleable web-services.
He has worked in a variety of software engineering roles, and is well versed in Perl, Kotlin, Java, C#, and embedded C, as well as being quite good1 at JavaScript.
About the Blog
Dave decided he wanted to do a blog, and it was all started when JavaScript scoping in a project he was working on within his job was being a nightmare because the people who worked on it before him didn’t fully understand JavaScript scoping, and he decided to vent about it here. After that, he has tried to regularly post on here any little tips, or other information he thinks others will find useful that he’s used or learned about whilst doing his job.
